Sochi, leisure, vacation - what nice words… 

Everyone in Russia knows about the wonderful Black Sea resort of Sochi. Tourists come to Sochi not only from Russia, but also from the near and far abroad, to swim, enjoy the sub-tropical climate, and to improve their health in the famous balneological complex Matsesta, with its therapeutic mud and mineral water. In Sochi there are a thousand and one place to visit.  There is the Arboretum, the Dolphinarium, many waterfalls, the Vorotsov caves, and, in the mountains, the site of the 2014 Olympics, Krasnaya Polyana.

What do I offer? 

In my opinion, Sochi hotels are overpriced, not very cozy and are often far outside the city center.  For less money, you can rent a comfortable apartment, with a fully operating, modern kitchen, in a nice location that is within walking distance of beaches, restaurants, clubs, the city theater and other entertainment centers.
My site shows a number of apartments that all fall under this description. All the apartments that you can see on this site belong to me and my close relatives and neighbors, who for one reason or another have asked me to help them to rent our their places. I rent these apartments out without any agent fees. I pick up our guests from the airport or railway station in my personal car at any hour of the day or night.

I rented an apartment in Sochi from Igor through Rest in Sochi for a month, in February, 2010. The apartment was well-furnished, impeccably clean, and with a fully outfitted kitchen, overlooking the pedestrian zone of a quiet, friendly, residential street that was just 10 minutes walk along the river to the very city center. Igor and his family cleaned the apartment every week – really, they scrubbed it top to bottom – and changed the sheets, towels, and kitchen linens. I enjoyed the apartment so much, and also got along so well with them, that it was without question that, when I returned to Sochi in September, this time for 9 months and with my husband, I would rent their apartment again. Theirs is a real family business, and they are very ethical, hard-working and kind people. When I got the flu, the family stopped by every day with food, medicine, and just to say hello and see how I was doing. Igor met me at the airport at 3 a.m. (international flights to Sochi arrive in the middle of the night) and settled me in, just as according to plan.  I should also mention that Igor went to an English school and speaks and writes excellent English.
I have already recommended this site to everyone who is thinking of coming to Sochi, whether on business or as a tourist, or, as in my case, as a researcher, and recommend it here without any reservation.
